Nooshin Yoosefi is a Senior Transportation Engineer with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in Orange County. She is currently a Project Manager responsible for development and delivery of transportation improvement projects on State Route 1 (PCH), State Route 133, and Interstate 5. She has over 20 years of experience working on various civil and structural engineering projects including design of residential and commercial structures, seismic retrofit design of bridges, design and management of highway improvement projects. Among her projects recently completed was the Laguna Canyon Road (State Route 133) Widening and Realignment Project, which received an Excellence in Transportation Award in 2008. This project widened and realigned the two-lane highway to two separate travel ways with different horizontal and vertical alignments, addressed traffic congestion, safety, flooding, and operational deficiencies, while preserving sensitive environmental resources.
Nooshin received her B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from UC Irvine, and her M.S. Degree in Structural Engineering from UCLA. She is a registered Professional Engineer in California, and also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from Project Management Institute (PMI). |
